At Choice Fostering we pride ourselves on being a small agency with a “strong family feel”. This allows us to promote cohesion and close communication throughout the company. As a small but highly experienced management team, we meet regularly to share opportunities to develop practice and learning as well as disseminating support across the organisation. Here’s a bit more about us…
 

Andre Simon, Registered Manager
Andre steers the ship with collaboration and gusto! He has a wealth of experience with children in a range of settings and is highly qualified in Social Care with over 12 years Registered Manager experience and 15 years training in the industry.  He leads and manages the team ensuring that the very best outcomes for Foster Carers and children are top priority.  
 

Sharon Williams, Deputy Manager and Practice Educator
Sharon is an experienced Supervising Social Worker and Practice Educator, who has invaluable experience in successfully fostering children and young people herself for 15 years.  She supports the team with her extensive experience within the fostering environment to ensure that her knowledge base is shared and the team is continually developed.

Charles Joseph-Yearwood, Senior Practitioner

Charles is a qualified social worker who has over 6 years of experience working within Local Authority Children’s Services. He has a broad array of experience in social care, hospitality and HR services and is very focused on customer and service delivery. His current role utilises a range of skills to provide support and oversight for our Foster Carers and Supervising Social Workers whilst also assessing and matching children with suitable placements.

Sertac Comak, Senior Supervising Social Worker
Sertac is qualified in business management and social work and has 8 years experience working in Independent Fostering Agencies. His early experience as a Social Worker was with adults in Mental Health Services. Sertac enjoys working with Foster Carers in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people in care.
 

Justin Idowu, Supervising Social Worker
Justin is a qualified Supervising Social Worker who has been with the team for 3 years having started as an intern with the company. He maintains strong relationships with his carer base and is committed in ensuring organisational values are met.

 

Patricia Hammond-Dankwah, Supervising Social Worker

Patricia is a newly qualified Social Worker who, during her degree, completed work experience with the agency and is now undertaking the AYSE Programme.  In addition to working closely with her Carer group, Patricia has a key role in supporting Foster Carer recruitment processes and assessments.

Sam Farenden, Administrator

Sam has over 8 years of admin experience and maintains an important role in ensuring the agency meets its regulations and is on top of all compliances.  She supports the team with all aspects of its role, from recruitment to training of staff and Foster Carers.

Karina Simon, Finance Director
Karina has 17 years experience in finance and operations which means things behind the scenes run smoothly! Karina has strong relationships with our partners in the Local Authorities and ensures carer allowances are provisioned accordingly.
